GEO Prep Baker Academy will be the newest addition to GEO Academies’ network of quality charter schools. Opening August 2022, it joins the Baton Rouge network, including GEO Prep Academy, GEO Prep Mid-City, and GEO Next Generation High School. We are a free public charter school serving kindergarten to 1st-grade students and will add grade levels each year to 8th grade.

GEO Prep Baker offers all faculty and staff members job-embedded, collaborative, student-centered professional development. GEO Prep Baker participates in TAP (The System for Teacher and Student Advancement) offering teachers multiple career paths, ongoing applied professional development, focused instructional accountability, and performance-based compensation. GEO Prep Baker uses the following curricula, CKLA for ELA, Eureka for Math, Studies Weekly for Social Studies, and Amplify for Science. GEO Prep Baker features a unique K-14 model-full day Kindergarten through two years of college. All teachers have a teacher’s assistant in the classroom. Each class has a 1:12 teacher-student ratio. GEO Prep Baker understands the importance of keeping our students and staff safe to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. Therefore each classroom is equipped with air purifiers, sanitizing wipes, and Plexi shields for each student’s desk.
